Welcome to King Island Golf and Bowls Club
Situated in Currie, set amid coastal dunes meeting the Southern Ocean, King Island’s links have been described as resembling St Andrew’s of Scotland, with rolling fairways carved from the natural undulations.
The course is a composite 18 holes, with alternate tees (17) and greens (12) on ten fairways. Comprising of 3 x Par 3, 12 x Par 4 and 3 x Par 5’s over a distance of 5476metres.
The compact course can challenge the best of golfers when the wind decides to blow, which is frequently!
The course hugs a spectacular coastline, the bump’n’run of undulating fairways, endless ocean vistas, a clever routing and greens in great condition, make this one of golf’s great venues.

“I used to think that my final round of golf in my life someday should best be played at my favorite golf course, the National Golf Links of America. Honestly, I’m not so sure about that anymore, I could truly celebrate the game of golf at KIG & BC, then leave my golf bag/clubs & shoes by the honor box for hopefully a junior golf to start their magical foray & then dine on a truly fabulous grass fed steak at the club’s simple & inviting clubhouse. A very special place…”
